The Pressure’s Really Ramping Up…

The success of a racing car requires many factors to function at its best; the most significant one being the team. So, if the team’s equipment can be added to or developed, then the overall performance will improve.

Our task was to produce a durable hard-wearing ramp that’s able to cope with extreme weights, like the Rollaway tool chests of up to half a tonne. But that’s not all. The ramp had to be light weight for ease of movement and also have a finish that provides grip. The previous ramp the team had was heavy and had began to bow. So, we knew what we were up against.

The first part of the task was to complete a site visit to Silverstone to get a full understanding of the requires of the team and take the exacting measurements for production at our workshop HQ to begin fabrication.

With all these factors in play, we decided to produce an aluminium chequered plate ramp that can take up to 750kg in weight with added strengthening bars to the underside.

Then all that was left to do was deliver it and give it a trail run. The client was delighted with the quality and finish. A great job all round.
